Not sometimes, rather most of the time, you just have to put that big grin on your face for things to get better.
Be yourself. An original is worth more than a copy.
— Suzy Kassem.
For my first post, I would just love to share one of my principles in life, and that is doing more that involves “originality”—just being yourself. Right now, I am just on my way into realizing what my purpose in life is, and since nobody in this world deserves to be alone in the same journey but different paths, as mine, I would like to have you, and the ones I love, to come along with me. May I be able to help you realize yours. Let us embark on this journey, as we come across different but enticing encounters in life!
Let me start off by saying, yes, this is another requirement that I need to post on my website. However, it occurred to me that I can let you see what I have in store when it comes to standing out. First thing is creativity. One must be spontaneous when it comes to showing what you’ve got. Take this resume, for example. Thousands of resumes are being submitted to the human resources of each company, yet only few get the slot. But what does it take to get in. Well, yes, you need the qualifications and all that. But you just need to catch the attention of the reader, and let them know that you are serious about the slot. Your chances of getting the slot will be much bigger with a creative resume that is visual compared to the old, plain white background, and serious face at the corner of the paper.
This is an awareness poster that I made with the theme, “Think before you Click”. Apparently, it is supposed to be a project that we are required to post on our website. But as I was constructing my poster, it somehow managed to make me think about the consequences of being on the internet for too long. Because I have longed realized that we are constantly being watched. If not a hacker, then our actions on the internet are being monitored by the authority. Even if those people have the privilege to do such thing, it can still be said that our privacy is being “violated”. So what can we do, exactly? Is it to not trust ANYONE on the internet? Well, not necessarily… As we can see, people who are monitoring our actions have the privilege to do such thing because they are literally doing their job, and that is to monitor us for righteousness sake. So we can say that we can somehow trust those people who are in control, by believing that we are safe under their surveillance. It is those people who are plotting to do mean and are unjust to us that we need to watch out. Because at any time, they may go for the attack, and collect the data we don’t wish to give away. So what now? Well, the poster is self-explanatory. It says, “Think before you click”. Doing so may just protect the data that we wish to keep, and also keep us from falling into dire situations.
I have always had this principle in life, and that is to create, serve, and even just innovate. Everything that I’ll be doing when it comes to creating, and serving will be called Projects, and shall be followed by a specific type of project, such as Wash, Build, Tune, and many more. The reason why the logo is circular is because it is meant to be universal, as the universe itself. It is meant to be recognized, and once it is recognized, the power of uniqueness comes into play, which is the P. I chose the P to be the logo’s icon because icons need to come first, and the letter is the first one in the name. The splitting design’s purpose is to convey a message that the person in charge of all the projects can just do more than one type of project. He can divide his work into different types of jobs. Lastly, I’ve chosen to have the P and C design because who I’ll be working with will always be my first priority, and can never be my last.
Well, that question is too broad, and I am still young of an adult, but what I can tell you are a little bit of my background, my interests, hobbies, and what I really want to achieve in life.
I am an 18 year old Filipino. I live in Metro Manila, currently still in senior high school, and taking Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics strand. Even as a kid, I have always been curious about how things work, and why they aren’t sometimes working. I would appreciate to learn how each components work on a microscopic level when it comes to machines, and I would also love to take the time and analyze processes in order to make room for improvement and innovation.
Not only do I appreciate the things I’ve mentioned above, I have always been interested in cars, and that I have attended numerous car shows, and I most especially love making cars look good. I also love travelling, because when I travel, I get to experience whole new discoveries which make me appreciate our planet even more.
That is probably enough background I can give you about me. I would love to have you along with me in this journey into discovering new places, people, culture, just life things.
